CONNECT, BE KNOWN, GROW

God designed us to be in community with others.

Small Groups create an environment where people can connect with others, be authentically known, and experience growth and life change through genuine relationships.

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

Hebrews 10:23-25 NLT

Lead a Group

You don’t have to be perfect to lead a Small Group. Countless times in the Bible, God used ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Your primary role as a Small Group Leader is to help your group members move one step closer in their walk with God.

 FAQs

  • After clicking Join a Group, you will be brought to our Church Center directory of Small Groups. You can filter groups based on needs you have, such as; day of week, frequency, type of group, age and more. You can even use the map to find a group that is close to where you live. If you have trouble finding a group. Visit the Small Group table in the foyer at one of our locations to talk to a Small Group Leader or Coach who can help you.

  • We encourage you to browse through all of the groups on our directory. If you are just starting your faith journey, a good place to start is a Fundamentals group where you will learn about biblical doctrine and lay a biblical foundation for your life.

  • Reach out to the leader! When you view the group in Church/Planning Center, a link is always available on that group's page that allows you to directly email the leader.

  • It’s perfectly fine to try out a few different groups until you find the one that feels like the right fit for you. We encourage exploring, but don’t overwhelm yourself by joining too many groups at once. Additionally, many groups have limited space, and we want to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to participate. Stick to a couple that seem like a good fit and give them a shot.

  • That’s okay! Just communicate with your leader so they know you won’t be there. We do miss you when you cannot attend, but we do understand that things come up. Please note that if you miss 3 weeks in a row and do not communicate or respond to your leader, you might be removed from the group.

  • Childcare availability for Small Groups depends on the specific group. If childcare is provided, the Small Group leader will indicate the details in the group listing. If you have specific questions about childcare for a particular group, it's best to reach out to the group leader directly.

  • To become a Small Group Leader, you need to attend Action Steps and Small Group Leader Training. These trainings are offered at every location before the start of each Small Group semester. You can connect with the team at your location for more details on the next steps.
