#1. WE MAKE IT HARD FOR PEOPLE TO GO TO HELL, BY MAKING IT FUN TO GO TO CHURCH.
Too often church is boring. We've been rescued, redeemed and saved by a loving God; and, that is exciting! Church needs to celebrate the new life found in Christ and have fun in the freedom that results.
#2 WE ARE ENCOURAGERS.
We are called to encourage one another toward the goal of becoming more like Jesus. Encouragement at times is positive, but sometimes getting encouraged can be uncomfortable and corrective. We don’t shy away from praising great choices or having hard conversations that result in encouragement.
#3 WE ARE GENEROUS.
God demonstrated that generosity can change the world when He sent Jesus. Our generosity is not simply what we do; it is who we are. We believe a lifestyle of generosity can change the world.
#4 WE DO ANYTHING SHORT OF SIN TO REACH PEOPLE.
To reach people nobody is reaching you have to do what no one is doing. Jesus had a “whatever it takes” mindset to His ministry. We believe meeting people where they are is the best way to introduce them to Jesus.
#5 WE BELIEVE FOR IMMEASURABLY MORE, NOT JUST ENOUGH.
Faith is more than simply believing for God to provide. Faith is believing God will provide more than enough. God meets us at the level of our expectation, so at Action Church we are going to do all we can do and believe for immeasurably more.
#6 WE ARE A THERMOSTAT, NOT A THEMOMETER.
Thermometers simply read and adjust to the climate, while thermostats set the atmosphere. As Christ-followers, our job is to set the climate, not adjust to it.
#7 WE TEACH PEOPLE TO SWIM IN THE SHALLOW END.
Too often church is complicated. Being a Christian is not: love Jesus and love people. We want to make it easy for people to get connected at Action Church while encouraging them to grow deeper in their faith.
#8 WE EMPOWER PEOPLE TO USE THEIR "GOD-GIVEN" GIFTS TO IMPACT THEIR WORLD.
Each of us were created on purpose and for a purpose. The job of the local church is to equip and empower people to change their world by helping them discover their God-given gifts.
#9 WE DO WORK
We pray like it depends on God and we work like it depends on us. God uses hard work and needs faithful people who are willing to do it.
#10 WE LIVE TO PLEASE GOD... AND THAT'S IT.
At the end of our life we will give an account for how we lived and how we used the time God gave us. Our desire is that we live a life that pleases God and leaves a legacy that inspires others.
