AUGUST 18-23
From the beginning of Action Church, we have made it a priority to seek God first in prayer. Through prayer and fasting, we set aside all distractions and open our hearts to what God has to say. Join us this August for a week of fasting and intentional prayer - we can’t wait to see what He is going to do!

Day 1 - Advance - The Power of God
DAY 1 VIDEO HEREMonday, August 18
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. - Ephesians 3:20 NLT
Pray that God would sustain us during this fast and speak to us this week.
Pray for revelation in how the power of God is already at work in your life.
Pray for direction in how the power of God in you can be used to advance His purposes.
Give God thanks that through His power so much more than we can ever imagine can be accomplished.

Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” - Matthew 9:13 NLT
he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. - Titus 3:5 NLT
Give God thanks for the mercy He showed you when you were still a sinner.
Invite God to show you specific ways in which you can be merciful towards others.
Ask God to reveal to you times that you have responded in judgment, rather than mercy, towards someone. Take a moment to repent.
Ask God to extend His mercy to any area of your life—your actions, thoughts, or choices—where you have struggled to honor and trust Him.
-
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. -

Invite the Holy Spirit into each moment of your time in the Word, that He may reveal truth to you and tear down any lies from the enemy that you have otherwise believed..
Allow the Holy Spirit to search your words, your thoughts, your actions, and emotions and show you what may be standing in the way of you living in freedom.
Repent from any recurring sin in your life and receive God’s grace and forgiveness.
Have a prayer team member pray with you over areas you have felt oppression and bondage and invite God’s power to deliver you and bring healing and freedom.description

Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. 2 Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. 3 He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. - Psalm 103:1-3 NLT
Pray that God would heal your mind and body, bringing internal and external healing to your life.
As you wait on healing, pray to surrender outcomes and timing to God, our great and sovereign physician.
Invite the Holy Spirit to give you understanding and revelation of His work in this season of life as you await healing for yourself or a loved one.

Saturday, August 23
DAY 6 VIDEO HEREfor He delivered us and saved us and called us with a holy calling [a calling that leads to a consecrated life—a life set apart—a life of purpose], not because of our works [or because of any personal merit—we could do nothing to earn this], but because of His own purpose and grace [His amazing, undeserved favor] which was granted to us in Christ Jesus before the world began [eternal ages ago], - 2 Timothy 1:9 AMP
Pray that God would anchor you in His purpose for your life. Ask Him to help give you clarity as to where He is leading you and give you the courage to follow.
Invite God to mold you into the image of His Son, Jesus. Ask Him to remove anything in you that doesn't reflect Christ and help you live a life that glorifies Him.
Invite the Holy Spirit to empower and guide you so that your life and calling would make Christ known and impact others for God’s Kingdom.
Pray that the Holy Spirit would reveal what next steps you need to take this season to advance your relationship with God.
