APRIL 27-MAY 11

JOIN US FOR A 3-WEEK JOURNEY TO TRANSFORMATION.
Throughout this series, we will dive into practical and spiritual ways to live out our faith and become more like Jesus daily. Below you will find a list of resources we would recommend for your further growth.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind and with all your strength.” Mark 12:30

WEEK 1: THE MIND

  • Some questions can stop a conversation. Today, more than ever, people are raising difficult, penetrating questions about faith, God, and the Bible. Based on an exclusive Barna survey of 1,000 Christians, The Questions Christians Hope No One Will Ask presents compelling, easy-to-grasp answers to ten of the most troubling spiritual questions facing Christians today.

Questioning Christianity Tim Keller (Podcast)

  • Drawing upon Scripture and the latest findings of brain science, Groeschel lays out practical strategies that will free you from the grip of harmful, destructive thinking and enable you to live the life of joy and peace that God intends you to live.

  • This series will help listeners work through tough questions like: Can there be moral absolutes? Does life have meaning beyond what I make of it? Can hope exist in the face of death? Each of the talks and Q&A sessions were given by Tim Keller in 2019 before a live gathering in New York City, made up primarily of attendees who did not identify as Christians.

  • Using literature, philosophy, real-life conversations, and potent reasoning, Keller explains how the belief in a Christian God is, in fact, a sound and rational one. To true believers he offers a solid platform on which to stand their ground against the backlash to religion created by the Age of Skepticism. And to skeptics, atheists, and agnostics, he provides a challenging argument for pursuing the reason for God.

WEEK 2: HEART/SOUL

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey (Book)

  • With deep insights and practical anecdotes, Stephen Covey reveals a step-by-step pathway for living with fairness, integrity, honesty, and human dignity—principles that give us the security to adapt to change and the wisdom and power to take advantage of the opportunities that change creates.

  • If you're having trouble changing your habits, the problem isn't you. The problem is your system. Bad habits repeat themselves again and again not because you don't want to change, but because you have the wrong system for change. You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems. Here, you'll get a proven system to take you to new heights.

WEEK 3: STRENGTH

  • Action Steps is a 2-week experience that will help you grow in your relationship with God by connecting to the church through membership and discovering the individual strengths and gifts God has given you so you can use them to make a difference in the lives of others.

  • We believe God uses community to transform lives. As a Small Group Leader, you get to use your gifts to be a part of that life change! You can be a part of helping our church connect, be known, and grow.

  • Action Church works to fulfill the Great Commission through strategic long-term global partners, supported by short-term mission trips, REACHING all people and all nations, and CONNECTING them to all God has for their lives.

  • We are passionate about reaching our community with the love of Jesus! Through our REACH Teams, our local partners, and the faithful generosity of our church, we are able to meet practical needs all over our cities each week.
